Salina Police are looking for a pair of suspects in a road rage incident earlier this week.

Police say Mario Lachica Quintana, 56, backed out of his driveway in the 500 block of S. 9th at about 3 p.m. Wednesday, when his Toyota 4Runner stalled.

A witness told officers the two white male suspects honked repeatedly and screamed at Quintana while he was trying to restart his vehicle. A short time later, Quintana got the vehicle running again and pulled off of S. 9th Street, onto Washington Street, and then pulled over to the curb. The two suspects then jumped out of a black four-door vehicle described as a “muscle car”, confronted Quintana, and tried to pull him out of his 4Runner. One of the suspects also punched the passenger side mirror off the 4Runner, causing about $100 in damage.

Quintana went to the police station and reported the incident shortly after it occurred. Police say he gave a similar account as the witness.

Police are asking anyone who can identify the “muscle car”, or the two men in the photo, to contact Salina Police at 785-826-7210 or Crime Stoppers at 785-825-TIPS (8477).
