THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WICHITA HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR HAZARDOUS WINTER WEATHER…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO NOON CST SUNDAY.

* TIMING…PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE IS POSSIBLE IN THE PREDAWN HOURS…WITH SNOW DEVELOPING IN THE MORNING AND CONTINUING INTO THE AFTERNOON.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS…OF 2 TO 3 INCHES ARE FORECAST.

* WIND CHILLS…OF -15 TO -20 ARE LIKELY STARTING SATURDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUING UNTIL MIDDAY SUNDAY.

* MAIN IMPACT…SLICK ROADS AND HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ARE

EXPECTED. DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS ARE FORECAST SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING.

Instructions: A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO A COMBINATION OF FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING… ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS. STRONG WINDS WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. IF YOU MUST VENTURE OUTDOORS…MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A HAT AND GLOVES.
