Widespread Rainfall Expected By Mid-Week

More rainfall is expected by the middle of this week across central and eastern Kansas. Widespread rainfall could be locally heavy Tuesday night through Wednesday night. A few strong storms will be possible as well, though flooding may also become a concern.

  • Tonight – Showers and thunderstorms before 3 a.m., then a chance of showers. Low around 43. North wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
  • Monday – Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 63. North wind 6 to 9 mph.
  • Monday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 41. East southeast wind around 6 mph.
  • Tuesday – A 40 percent chance of showers after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64. East wind 6 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
  • Tuesday Night – Showers. Low around 48. East northeast wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
  • Wednesday – Showers. High near 55. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
  • Wednesday Night – Showers. Low around 44. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
  • Thursday – A 40 percent chance of showers before 1 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 55.
  • Thursday Night – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39.
