Two Salina Teens Hospitalized After Rollover Crash Southeast of Salina

Two Salina teenagers were hospitalized after a rollover crash four miles southeast of Salina Monday afternoon.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Trent C. Pennington, 17, was traveling north in the 5100 block of S. Simpson Road in a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, when he lost control of the vehicle as it came over a crest at Mentor Road.

The SUV went off the east side of the road and rolled over.

Pennington, and an occupant of the vehicle, Olivia N. Pennington, 15, were transported to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of their injuries. Another occupant of the vehicle, Jessica G. Henry, 15, of Salina, was not transported.

All three teenagers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, according to the Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at about 3:42 p.m.
