Severe Storms Possible Sunday

A handful of severe thunderstorms are possible Sunday afternoon and evening, primarily east of the turnpike, as a storm system and associated dryline and cold front approach from the west. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary hazards. The overall tornado threat appears low at this time.

  • Tonight – Patchy frost after 5 a.m. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 35. North wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light and variable.
  • Friday – Patchy frost before 8 a.m. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 67. Breezy, with a south wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.
  • Friday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 50. Breezy, with a south wind 13 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
  • Saturday – Sunny, with a high near 82. South wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
  • Saturday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 60. South wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
  • Sunday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 80.
  • Sunday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 48.
  • Monday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 67.
  • Monday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 42.
