Rain and Storms Will Continue Tonight Through Sunday

A strong storm system will spread a couple rounds of rain and thunderstorms across the region through tonight. The primary threat will be heavy rainfall, although a few severe storms with large hail are possible across southeast Kansas. Pockets of relatively minor flooding are possible areawide, with moderate river flooding and flash flooding possible over southeast Kansas.

  • Tonight – Rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 38. Breezy, with a north wind 18 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
  • Sunday – Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 45. North wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
  • Sunday Night – A 50 percent chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 37. Breezy, with a northwest wind 17 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph.
  • Monday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 64. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 16 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph.
  • Monday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 43.
  • Tuesday – A 30 percent chance of showers after 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 67.
  • Tuesday Night – A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47.
  • Wednesday – A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 64. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
