Chilly Night Ahead, Chance for Showers Thursday

A chilly night is in store for the area as temperatures fall into the 30s tonight at most locations. Some frost is expected in North Central Kansas, roughly along and north of I-70, where temperatures will be in the lower to mid 30s.

Frost advisories have been posted for tonight/early Thursday morning across Central Kansas.

  • Tonight – Areas of frost after 5 a.m. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 36. West northwest wind 3 to 6 mph.
  • Thursday – A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 5 p.m. Areas of frost before 7 a.m. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a high near 62. Light south southeast wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
  • Thursday Night – Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 1 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 46. East wind 9 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
  • Friday – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. North wind 7 to 10 mph becoming west northwest in the morning.
  • Friday Night – Showers likely, mainly after 1 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 43. North northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
  • Saturday – Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 47. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
  • Saturday Night – Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 39. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
  • Sunday – Rain likely before 1 p.m., then a chance of showers after 1 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 49. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
  • Sunday Night – A 30 percent chance of showers before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38.
  • Monday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 66.
