Chance of Late Showers and Storms Tuesday

A dry-line and cold front will move into central and eastern Kansas on Tuesday. Cooler air will begin to affect central Kansas by the afternoon, though southern Kansas will remain quite warm. A chance for showers and storms will exist by late afternoon and evening with a few severe storms possible in southeast Kansas.

  • Tuesday – A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. Southeast wind 8 to 11 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.
  • Tuesday Night – A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a low around 43. North wind 14 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
  • Wednesday – A chance of showers before 2 p.m., then a slight chance of rain after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. Breezy, with a north northwest wind 17 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
  • Wednesday Night – A 20 percent chance of rain before 8 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 36. North wind 5 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Thursday – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 61.
